I would like to post my question because i don't seem to figure it out on my own.

A little bit of extra information:

We work with 4 virtual servers (windows server 2008R2) where our users can log on inside a domain network.
The users work on thinclient workstations (windows 7) and connect thrue a rdp-session to the virtual environment.

since a couple of weeks people can't see the preview of the illustrations when they search for one, they get red crosses on the preview. If they double click then the image pops up in the word/excel window but they can not see the preview what makes it very hard.

I looked thrue some options in the security of the word but can't seem to find any solutions.

i checked the firewall but that can't realy be the problem i guess because the image in the background is loaded only the preview is not.

First could you help me with some information:

1. By with 4 virtual servers do you mean Hyper-v or other type of virtual machine?
2. By preview of the illustrations when they search for one, they get red crosses on the preview do you mean preview as outlook attachment or Graph in Visio or other software?
3. By If they double click then the image pops up in the word/excel window do you mean they can view the image in Word/Excel without any issue?
4. You mentioned the issue started couple of weeks ago, may I know what has been changed? Any updates been applied?

Please help me with information above, so we can check further, thank you.
